Biography

I hold a degree in Electronic Engineering from Bristol University and have worked for BBC Radio.

In 1999 I was awarded a first class honours degree in Psychology from London University. I am currently working on research in collaboration with Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust. This research has two objectives. Firstly, to establish the current practice of UKcardiac surgeons regarding the presentation of risk information to patients. Secondly, to determine the risk information patients wish to receive prior to going forward for elective heart surgery.

In addition to my responsibility for this study, I am also assisting with the other research activities of the Unit.
